I was walking in the woods one day

I came upon a church service of sorts,

The old wise oak was leading the service

With other families of trees around

Of the maple, elm, cedar, fir, pine and more

The wise oak was saying loudly,

If one of us falls in the woods will anyone hear?

Yes

Been there for the signing of constitution

Been there for battle

Been there for the fallen people

If one of us falls in the woods will anyone hear?

Yes

As we are cut down in the rainforests

As we are giving the oxygen to breath

As we are giving shade on a hot summer day

If one of us falls in the woods will anyone hear?

Yes

Remember about the love carved into the tree

Remember about the swinging from the tree

Remember about the tree house

If one of us falls in the woods will anyone hear?

Yes

Kind to the animals and birds of the forest giving them home

Kind to the streams and rock to create harmony

Kind to the earth and always say

If one of us falls in the woods will anyone hear?

Yes
